        * Joseph's Coat Inc. - A letter was received thanking the Board of Education for donation of $1,392.00 to Joseph's Coat and the
        Washington County Food Pantry.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO WISH TO SPEAK

 

Getting started: When you have been recognized, please stand and state your name. 
Time Limit: You may speak only one time and must limit your comments to 5 minutes or less.  
Personnel or Student Topic: If you are planning to speak about a personnel or student matter 
involving an individual, please understand that our policies require you to follow the district’s 
complaint procedure before addressing the board.  Board members will generally not respond 
to any questions or comments you make about individual staff members or students.  Please 
remember that slanderous comments will not be tolerated. 
General Rules: This is a public meeting for the conduct of business.  Comments from within the 
audience while others are speaking will not be tolerated.  Offensive language, personal attacks, 
and hostile conduct will not be tolerated.
No action by the Board: The Board will not act on any matter unless it is on the published agenda.

      If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the December 10th, 2012 Board of Education meeting to approve on final notification,
        revised policy 403.1 Employee Use of Social Media, to reflect current district practices.
     
      If the Board in in agreement, a motion may be brought at the December 10th, 2012 Board of Education meeting to approve on final notification,
        revised policy 705.04 Gifts, Donations, Grants and Bequests, and 705.04R1 Benefit Donor Schedule to reflect current district practices.
      
             
        Curriculum Committee

        If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the December 10th, 2012 Board of Education meeting to accept the 2011-12 Financial Audit from Gorake, 
        Ritterbush, and Piotrowski as presented.
        
F.     Acceptance of Gifts: 
         * As part of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska Board Directed Contributions Campaign, Karen Aman contributed $5,000.00 as a gift to the
         Blair Community Schools District Wide Special Needs Committee.

H.    Approval of New Teachers: none
 I.     Acceptance of Resignations: 
         * Paul Krause-
         Paul Krause  submitted a letter of resignation from his position as a Math teacher at Otte Middle School/Blair High School effective December 21, 2012.
         
         If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the December 10, 2012 Board of Education meeting to accept the resignation of Paul Krause, 
         upon suitable replacement, effective December 21, 2012.
