        * Blair Education Association letter
        A letter has been received from Lyndsay Hiykel, president of the Blair Education Association, requesting that the Blair Community Schools 
        take action to recognize the Blair Education Association as the exclusive bargaining agent for the district's non-supervisory certificated staff 
        for the 2015-2016 school year.
          
         If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the October 14, 2013 Board of Education meeting to recognize the Blair Education  
         Association as the exclusive bargaining agent for the district's non-supervisory certificated staff for the 2015-2016 school year.
        
        * Blair Dance Center letter 
       A letter has been received from Jill Sailors of the Blair Dance Center requesting the classroom and weekday custodial fees be waived for her
       upcoming facility use of Blair High School for her May 2014 recital.
      
       If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the October 14, 2013 Board of Education meeting to waive the classroom and
       weekday custodial fees for the Blair Dance Center's facility use of Blair High School for the recital in May 2014.
        
        * Blair Alumni Volleyball letter
        A letter was received from Bria Lally, the tournament organizer for the Alumni Volleyball tournament, requesting the facility use fees be
        waived for the 2013 tournament at Blair High School on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

        If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the October 14, 2013 Board of Education meeting to waive facility use fees
        for the 2013 Alumni Volleyball tournament.

         * Blair Basketball Club letter
         A letter was received from Dave Warrick of the Blair Basketball Club requesting the fees be waived for the Blair Basketball Club's open gym
         use on Sundays for the 2013-14 school year. 
        
         If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the October 14, 2013 Board of Education meeting to approve the request by the
         Blair Basketball Club to waive the fees and approve the use for Sunday open gym.

        If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the October 14, 2013 Board of Education meeting to approve the
        Board & Superintendent Goals, as presented, for the 2013-14 school year.

F.    Comments from the public
This is the portion of the meeting when members of the public may speak to the board about 
matters of public concern.

Time Limit: You may speak only one time and must limit your comments to 5 minutes or less.  
Personnel or Student Topic: If you are planning to speak about a personnel or student matter 
involving an individual, please understand that our policies require you to follow the district’s 
complaint procedure before addressing the board.  Board members will generally not respond 
to any questions or comments you make about individual staff members or students.  Please 
remember that slanderous comments will not be tolerated. 
General Rules: This is a public meeting for the conduct of business.  Comments from within the 
audience while others are speaking will not be tolerated.  Offensive language, personal attacks, 
and hostile conduct will not be tolerated.
No action by the Board: The Board will not act on any matter unless it is on the published agenda.

       If the Board is in agreement, a motion may be brought at the October 14, 2013 Board of Education meeting to approve the adoption
       of the revise Social Studies Standards, as required by State Board of Education regulation based on state statute §79-760.01 and §79-760.02.

       Session for the purpose of collective bargaining.
