Mrs. Amy Rogers
Principal at South and West Primary Schools
Greetings! My name is Amy Rogers and I am the K-2 Principal at South and West Primary Schools in the Blair Community School District. Prior to becoming principal, I taught 4th grade for 12 years at Arbor Park Intermediate School and then moved to the Assistant Principal position for three years at the K-2 level. I had the unique opportunity to teach grades 3-7 in a country school south of Blair prior to being hired by the Blair School District. I have coached and sponsored a variety of extracurricular activities 7-12 and thoroughly enjoyed the experiences that came with each level and season.
I attended Lewis Central High School near Council Bluffs, IA and completed my undergraduate degree at Dana College in Blair. I earned two masters degrees from the University of Nebraska in Omaha in ‘Curriculum and Improvement of Instruction’ and ‘Educational Administration.’
I am married to Marty Rogers (Blair High School Activities Director) and have three wonderful children, Brandon, Dylan and Kalan, who attend Blair Schools. We all enjoy being outdoors and active. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, skiing, hiking, playing and watching sporting events, and relaxing around a campfire with my family at our cabin in northern Minnesota!
