Blair High
School offers a comprehensive curriculum and an array of programs
to meet the needs of a growing student population, while utilizing
an alternating-day block schedule. The basic purpose of Blair High
School is to provide a practical sequence of studies for students
and at the same time challenge each student to the fullest.
Accordingly, the school offers a wide range of college prep,
vocational, and general courses. Students can select from over 128
courses, 24 clubs and organizations, and 14 athletic teams as part
of a well-rounded total educational program.
Built in 1970 at a cost of $2.2 million, the 140,000 square-foot
building sits on 75 acres of land. Student population is
approximately 700. A dedicated and experienced faculty is the
cornerstone of the fine educational program and a staff of 49 full
and part-time teachers, 3 administrators, media specialist,
technology coordinator, psychologist, nurse, and 3 guidance
counselors.
