Snowman Friends

Chubby Snowmen

by Shelley Schoby, K-2 Art Specialist

Adaptive art students made huge chubby snowmen.  Large circles were drawn and students traced lines with a glue sticks. Students then crunched-up paper into balls and placed them inside of circles. Using both hands students pressed a second piece of paper onto  the top of glued circles. Students practiced cutting circles by following a drawn line. Snowballs were joined to together to form a HUGE Chubby Snowman. The following poem was shared:

 Chubby Snowman

There was a chubby snowman
And he had a carrot nose
Along came a bunny
And what do you suppose
The hungry little bunny
Was looking for his lunch
He grabbed that snowman's
carrot nose
NIBBLE!  NIBBLE!  CRUNCH!!

Can you find the bunny in our mural?
