Winter is Here!
The preschoolers are learning about Winter, snow and ice. They experimented with ice and colored salt water. They observed how the salt water melted the ice into water, heard the ice crack as the salt water melted the ice and discussed how the trucks put salt on the roads to melt the snow so our cars will not slide on the roads.
We discussed the differences between hot and cold temperatures and named some things that are cold. This experiment also helped the preschoolers identify a change in a material and a possible cause for our mathematics and science assessment.
